Our work is only possible through the generous support of people who care about the Osa Peninsula!
You can help save a jaguar in the Osa Peninsula, no matter where you are!
Tell others about the project:
Share your interest for conserving the jaguar and its habitat in the Osa Peninsula with your friends and family. Just send us an email and we'll get back to you with all the information you need.
Make a donation:
This button will take you to the International Community Foundation’s online donation site for Yaguará. All contributions made through this site are fully tax-deductible in the U.S. You will receive an immediate receipt once your donation is made. Thank you for supporting Yaguará though the International Community Foundation!
Adopt a camera trap:
For just US$450 your donation can help us purchase a digital camera trap and pay for its maintenance for one year. We need at least 75 cameras throughout the Peninsula to evaluate and monitor the habitat and status of wild cat populations and their prey. This data, in conjunction with other projects, allows us to define priority areas for focused conservation efforts in the region. As well as knowing that you're contributing to this important work, you'll also receive a certificate and occasional updates of photographs taken by 'your' camera.
Transportation of equipment:
If you are traveling to Costa Rica, the transport of camera traps or other material and equipment from USA would be a great contribution to our work. If you let us know in plenty of time (one month in advance), we can purchase the equipment, send it to you and include a letter certifying that it is intended for research and that you are supporting us with transportation.
